Well, hell. It’s that time again. Time to dust off the ol’ webcam, dig out the Elgato, rig all this shit up to do some streamin’.
Yep. It’s time to get back in. I just wish I knew how. I mean, technically I know how. I have the tools and the software. It’s the whole “getting started” thing. Every time I attempt to do this, I feel as if I’m on an island. I avoid group chat with my friends, and unless someone joins the room and chats, I’m literally sitting there playing a game, silently. And if anyone checks out a VOD to see what I’m about, they’re going to be bored as hell.
So here’s what I’m gonna do. Instead of just streaming me playing a game and being all boring and shit, I’m going to pick a game that maybe I don’t know anything about, or maybe one I know a lot about, and talk about the game itself as I play. It will keep me talking and hopefully keep the stream interesting so that anyone checking out a VOD will have something to gain from it, other than me just sitting there mouth-breathing while I stare blankly at a screen for two hours.
Will it be a success? Probably not. But it’s worth a try.
